1965 Brother Wizard Truetype Mid-Century Design

It's a nice, working vintage typewriter ready for a new home.

This is a 1965 Wizard Truetype manual typewriter made in Japan by Brother (serial number K3317686). Like other rebranded Brother machines from this era, they featured the same compact, reliable core design, with slight modifications to the case and other cosmetic elements.

It measures 12.5" x 12.5" x 4" with the vinyl case and weighs 12 lbs. The font is Pica at 12 characters per inch. The zipper case doesn't work, but it can still hold the machine well enough to carry the machine.

As with all of our typewriters, the Wizard Truetype has been cleaned, lubricated, and polished for immediate use. You can start writing with this machine as soon as you get it home.

The metal accents are bright, and the off-white plastic keys are in good condition.

The Brother machines are all light, well made, and reliable, and this model is no different. All mechanical features work well: retractable paper support, ribbon color selector, touch selector, quick-set margins, and automatic ribbon reverse.

The Wizard Truetype is recommended for someone new to typewriters who wants an entry-level machine, a designer who wants a vintage typewriter for decorative purposes, or someone looking for a compact typewriter. It's a nice, working vintage typewriter ready for a new home!
