Made by Olivetti-Underwood
It features an American-style keyboard with tombstone keys.
This is a solidly-made 1966 Olivetti-Underwood 21 portable manual typewriter that was made in Barcelona, Spain (serial no. 693807). The paint is two-toned gray and gunmetal blue. The platen is undisturbed and the type is clean enough for you to think that this machine just wasn't used very much. This machine shares most of the same mechanicals as the '61 Olivetti Studio 44.
It has all the common features, is easy to use, and additionally, it's great for heavy typing (quite the workhorse). Mechanically, this typewriter is in excellent condition. The case is in excellent condition as well, and will easily transport the typewriter anywhere. As an added bonus, this machine comes with the original semi-transparent plastic dust-cover and the original user's manual. It features an American-style keyboard with tombstone keys.
You will have to remember to move the large spoon-like carriage return lever back, make sure the machine is properly in the case. An unmarked key, at the upper far left, is the margin release lever. The tab button is the red key. The typebars are exposed, but the chassis and mechanical parts, are covered with a metal plate. It has four (4) rubber rectangular feet that are perfect condition.
For your convenience, a fresh new ribbon has been installed for immediate use.
