1976 Smith-Corona Super-G
Made by Smith-Corona
The sports car of typewriters - in gorgeous orange!
This is an absolutely stunning Smith-Corona Ghia-design Super G which was produced by Carrozzeria Ghia SpA in West Bromwich, England in 1976 (serial no. 7YP56597).
The Super G typewriter shares many characteristics with race cars: rally stripes, sleek lines and bright colors — all reminiscent of Ghia designs produced for car makers such as Volkswagen, Alfa Romeo and Ford. It sports rubber tire treads instead of feet and a clamshell cover.
In our opinion, the Super G is a superior writing machine to Olivetti's Valentine. The real highlight of this machine being its amazing design.
Under the stunning shell, the typewriter is a standard English-made SCM, plus power spacing, and bichrome color selector. Overall, this typewriter is in really exceptional shape both cosmetically and mechanically. This typewriter is fully functional, and works perfectly.
